Affiliated Developers are organized to develop and preserve the highest quality affordable housing communities possible for any given market area.
It is our mission that our residents and tenants are proud of their homes. We incorporate supportive services for our residents by partnering wth local service providers for a given area.
Our Board of Directors and staff members have accumulated years of experience and successes in affordable housing development. The following are some of the principals we employ in our development process:
* Identifying key markets by overlaying demographic data and trends.
* Conservative financial underwriting utilizing various financing and layer-financing techniques.
* Assembling and organizing top-notch development teams in project areas.
* Outsourcing professional, construction and management services.
* Providing supportive services to our residents, such as credit counseling and home ownership counseling.
* Attending and speaking at continuing education and information forums.
* Utilizing cutting-edge financing resources, including both public and private sources of funds.

Kirk Bruce, Executive Director
Kirk Bruce became Exec. Director in the fall of 2010 after the unfortunate passing of Matthew Wick. Mr.Bruce holds a bachelor of science degree in business marketing as well as a licensed Real Estate Broker. Mr. Bruce is scheduled to complete his CPM designation in the fall of 2011. In Addition, Mr. Bruce has over a decade of experience in conventional apartment development, conventional residential development and tax credit multi-family developments. Currently, Mr. Bruce is responsible for identifying and underwriting prospective developments as well as asset management of the existing developments.
Matthew Wick, Founding Executive Director
Mr. Wick was responsible for identifying and underwriting prospective developments. Mr. Wick is also responsible for financial management ,compliance and reporting for Affiliated Developers. Mr. Wick holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and licensed as a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Property Manager, and Real Estate Broker. Mr. Wick has been intimately involved with both conventional, commercial and apartment development and tax credit multifamily developments for over 20 years. Mr. Wick, unfortunately, passed away in August of 2010.
Robert Force, Development Officer
Mr. Force is responsible for identifying and underwriting prospective developments. Mr. Force has over a decade of real estate experience, and possesses a builders license and real estate license. Mr. Force has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
Bruce A. Michael, Development Officer
Bruce Michael was educated at University of Michigan obtaining a Bachelor of Science and Master of Urban Planning degrees. Mr. Michael has over 30 years experience in the real estate development field and has been involved with the development of over 6,000 multi-family units, including many projects utilizing government subsidies and financing. Mr. Michael is responsible for acquisition, entitlement, design, underwriting, and oversight of construction activities on projects.
